Walnut Veneer Cigar Box from Lemaire, Paris, 1920s

High place of cigar in France, the Maison Lemaire, created in 1896, is one of the most prestigious Parisian brands with more than 400 references available to aficionados.
This walnut box has a veneer top arranged in eighty.
The cover with a chrome horizontal button opens onto a piano hinge and remains kept open thanks to two small compasses.
The Opalin glass interior has an old base which made it possible to fix a hygrometer in order to ensure optimal conditions of conservation of cigars.
The underside of this box is lined with a green felt in perfect condition.
