Larry G. Hurst is an American Artist born in the 20th century whose powerful abstract acrylic and oil painting from 1977 captures our imagination, creating an intangible and unique emotional experience. Abstractionism is a form of art that moves away from traditional representation to explore shapes, colour, and texture. To fully appreciate this artwork, it’s important to consider the symbolic elements such as the three main colours red, brown, and green; stains and splashes; lines and shape, as the central triangle – paying close attention to how these elements interact with one another, dialoguing between blank spaces and the artist’s interventions– as well as thinking about what unique feelings or topics the artwork stirs within you.
