Vintage Design
This model featuring legs with brass ends was exhibited at the 1900 World Exhibition in Paris in the space of J. & J. Kohn, where it was awarded the Grand Prix. The successful design was imitated not only internally by the firm Kohn, but also by Thonet and other Austro-Hungarian bentwood furniture producers. It was also an inspiration for Otto Wagner for his armchair of dispatch offices of the newspaper ‘Die Zeit’ and the Vienna postal savings bank.
