Vintage Design
Finn Juhl became internationally known for his furniture in teak and in long-term collaboration with the master carpenter Niels Vodder from the debut at the Snedkerlauget’s annual exhibition in 1937 at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Finn Juhl later became a prominent figure for Danish design in the 1940s and in the years 1951–1952 he designed the interior of the Board of Trustees hall in the UN headquarters in New York.
The table top has chamfered edges along the long sides and H-shaped legs with sculptural legs. The legs have milled grooves, which is a nice detail. A very stylish and unusual coffee table in very fine quality.
145x54x55 cm.
There is a small “print mark” on the curved edge of the coffee table, see pictures. Otherwise, the coffee table is in very good condition with small traces of use.
