Early 20th Century Spanish Hand Painted Domed Wedding Box With Floral Motifs

This beautifully executed antique wedding trunk was crafted in Spain, circa 1920. The colorful box with arched top, stands on small gilt painted turned legs, and is dressed with a wooden knob. The cabinet is decorated with hand painted floral and leaf motifs scattered on all four sides including on the bombe top. The inside with inside paint, is dressed with side folding hinges, keeping the top in an upright position. The large domed trunk is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a wonderful and rich hand painted colors in the green, red, orange palette on a black background; it is further embellished with a gilt painted border around the edges. Dress a coffee table, or decorate the top of kitchen cabinets with this elegant and versatile wedding box!
