Vintage Design
A fine quality oak roll top desk by Maples of London and Paris. As with most quality desks all the panels are fielded (bevelled) and the interior is a mass of drawers and compartments. All the finish has been rejuvenated and the writing surface has a new tooled leather. When closed the side drawers lock automatically and the central drawer has it’s own working lock and key. Splits into three main pieces for transportation.

Surface has been refinished, The tambour has been totally re-backed and is now set of the next 100 years (this is not a simple or cheap job) and we would recommend anyone buying a roll top desk to check the tambour for splits in the backing.
