Impressive & Breathtaking ! This Dutch 19th century Renaissance revival ”Beeldenkast” (so called Statue cabinet) made out of solid oak. The name refers to the carved statues that carry the top of the cabinet like supporting pillars. The quality of the oak carvings is simply stunning. For example the look & feel of the 3 different carved angels on the feet of the cabinet. A one of a kind cabinet with such amazing craftsmanship & many carved decorations to sum it up completely: The bottom: 3 different carved angels on the feet followed by 3 lion masks & 2 drawers decorated with renaissance carvings. The middle: 2 doors with 4 carved door panels & 3 carved oak pillars. Followed by 3 lion masks and 2 drawers with renaissance carvings. The top: 3 large size statues followed by 3 carved pillars behind them and 2 renaissance carved door panels. The top also has 7 human carved faces of men and woman & 2 panels with angels & renaissance style carvings. Apart from impressive carvings & beauty this cabinet also offers many storage options: The cabinet has 2 drawers at the bottom , 2 doors with 2 shelves , 2 drawers & finally 2 doors with shelves on top behind the statues. The carved oak doors are 3 inches thick and feel very impressive when pulled open. The cabinet is very large and impressive when standing in-front of it looking up at the statues and craftsmanship.
