Vintage Design
Very rare large wardrobe commissioned for a luxury apartment designed in 1960 by Jos De Mey one of the after the war Belgium Modern designers in the 50s and 60s.A beautiful loft ,sleeping-room or office wardrobe from cherrywood manufactured by Van Den Berghe-Pauvers in good vintage condition and original. The cabinet is divided into 2 compartments for hanging clothes as well 2 compartment with shelves, the 2 top cabinets are modular. Jos De Mey (1928-) attended training at the higher Institute of Architecture in Ghent with the teacher no one less than Gaston Eysselinck. In the 1950s, the Dar itself known as one of the best Belgian furniture designers and rightly so. He worked as a designer for Van Den Berghe-Pauvers in Ghent and as also at Luxus in Kortrijk. In 1968 he beginning a successful career as a painter. The furniture can be completely dismantled.
