Vintage Design
Dining table designed by Ate van Apeldoorn for Houtwerk Hattem of The Netherlands in the 1960s.
This table is made solely from solid pine. The top consists of long, narrow slats of pine joined together. The legs are made of four wider slats joined together by visible finger joins that are so recognizable for designs by Ate van Apeldoorn.
The table is in good condition. It is stable and fully functional, it does however have some signs of use. There are a few top slats that are not as tightly fitted anymore on one side of the top. The top also shows dents and scratches that can be expected on a table of this age constructed from a soft type of wood. The are also signs of use on the legs from contact with chairs, consisting of dents and scrapes. Please see the photos for this.
